I went overboard.

As you can probably tell from the amount of photographs in this post, I went a bit snap-happy tonight. I think I need that from time to time, in all fairness. It's very therapeutic.
In other news: I'm finally off for two weeks for Christmas. I am so glad I get some time off college now- it was getting a bit too stressful for me to deal with, in all honesty. I definitely need this break!
Anyway, here's on to the outfit (and hey look!~ there's proper, high-quality-ish photographs thrown in there too!):

Because this post is so picture-heavy, I didn't want to mess with the flow by adding my usual "item = where I got it" thing as captions. Instead, I'll list them here:

Multicoloured knit waistcoat/vest = vintage (originally from really old New Look- the logo's ancient!)
Long black shirt worn as dress/tunic = vintage
Black bodycon skirt (barely visible) = Internacionale
Gold bangle bracelet = Matalan (I think!)
Black and gold ring = Christmas present from my first ever secret Santa!
Red string bracelet = eBay
Earrings = they're all from an assortment of places, but I know that the black spikey hoop was from Claire's Accessories, and the green wrapped earring was part of a Christmas present from one of my best friends.
Belt = I genuinely have no idea where this is from- mum gave me it! Sorry!
Chelsea boots = eBay
Brown barbour-esque coat = vintage
On my lips (in a couple of the photographs) = my usual Collection 2000's "Ruby Red" (#3)

Now that this ridiculously lard post is done with, I'm going to finish my chicken soup and maybe catch up on Hollyoaks and Misfits and The Secret Circle! I have so much to get done in these two weeks that I don't think I'll get very much rest at all- because, obviously, catching up on your favourite shows is such a chore, ha!

Anyway, wrap up warm, stay safe and have a brilliant weekend, darlings. Au revoir~!

Frozen but warm.

Hey, darlings! As usual, I'm sorry about the long delays between posts: I'm just either totally drained of energy, or have no time, or both, lately. This week isn't likely to get much better, unfortunately. I have so much to do! Christmas shopping, universitythings, college coursework deadlines- ugh

Anyway, I kind of liked my outfit today (although mainly I think I just love the shirt ridiculous amounts and wear it pretty much every other day) so I figured I might as well show you it, especially as it's been a while since my last post. Here you are!

Shirt = vintage (Marlboro Classics)
Leather jacket = Next
Chelsea boots = eBay
Black bodycon skirt = Internacionale
Scarf = from ages ago / from India

At college this morning, one of my friends had decided that I dress "indie", so he did yet another 'photoshoot' using me as his model, along with another one of our friends, and this is what I was wearing: I didn't realise I dressed "indie"!? What does that even really mean?
Anyway, we went through the photos afterwards, and some of them came out really great, so I might just post them on here once/if I get access to them, somehow! My blog might just see something other than shoddy webcam quality for once, ha!
Right, I'm off to bed now: night, my lovelies! Have a great week, and wrap up and keep warm!

Another all-nighter.

I'm so sorry for doing these so late at night- I bet none of you even see this or any of my other outfits, because they're posted so late. Oopsie!

I'll get straight into it- this is what I wore today!

Floral waistcoat = vintage
Velvet skirt = Primark
Shirt = vintage with DIY studded collar

On my lips = Collection 2000's "Ruby Red"

Watch = Nike
Red string bracelet = eBay

Chelsea boots = eBay

Today I've just been sorting out overdue bits and pieces of coursework, as well as my CVQ work placement... which begins tomorrow (er, today) morning! I'm volunteering as part of one of my college courses at a secondary school, in the English department, as a teaching assistant. I'm so so nervous! That's probably why I'm not in bed right now, even though I'm so sleepy- my nervousness has got me all panicky and flustered. Boooo.

Anyway, I'll probably let you know how it went with my next outfit post (which will hopefully be later today), so look out for that if you're interested. Wish me luck!

Hugs,

Anshika

Denim, leather, and cable knit jumpers.

Hullo again, my lovelies. I've been ill since last weekend- I got whatever it was my stepdad had, literally on the day of my last post on here, and it's still here. I'm currently going through a ridiculously chesty cough, and the most unpleasant cold, and with the strikes on Wednesday, and tutor review day on Tuesday, luckily the only day of college I missed from being ill was Monday. I hope I'm feeling better soon, because I've spent the last ten days sniffling!
Anyway, enough about being ill: this is what I wore when I went back to college on Thursday!

Chunky knit jumper = Primark
Denim dress = Originally my mum's... I have no idea where from , though- sorry!
Leather jacket = Next
Bag = vintage

Watch = Nike
Red stringy cross charm bracelet = eBay
Hemp wristband = eBay

Chelsea boots = eBay

Necklace = eBay

On my nails = Collection 2000's "Fire Engine"

On my lips = L'Oreal Colour Riche in shade #231 ("Refined Rose")
This lipstick is my current obsession. It's the perfect texture- not sticky, but not ridiculously dry either- and the perfect finish too: not glossy, but not completely matte, which is a nice change for me with my ultra-matte red lip. I don't know how old this is, as it was a present from my mum, but if you can get your hands on it, I do recommend it!

I hope you've had a better week than I have; I received some bad news about my plans for my academic future, i.e. I most likely have to postpone going to university for yet another year (so, a 2014 entry, as opposed to 2013) and I'm working on figuring it all out right now. So yes, really, I do hope your week was better than mine... and that you've all been well!

Hugs,

Anshika

X Machines and How It's Made.

So I decided to get out the ol' leather jacket that was gifted to me by my stepdad about two years ago now. I refuse to buy real leather anything, but because this was a gift, I decided to keep it, especially as I didn't actually own anything like a leather jacket previously. This has been a staple ever since. It really adds that edge to any outfit, especially if the outfit's too "cute" or too "sexy" or too feminine.

Leather jacket = Next
Red bodycon skirt = boutique

Black flats = Priceless Shoes

Necklace = eBay

Indigo-blue satin top = vintage

I'm so relieved it's finally the weekend. I'm currently spending my Friday night with my ill stepdad, watching X Machines and How It's Made. I feel like such a man with both these shows about industrial, heavy duty machinery. I'm still not ashamed to admit I'm enjoying them.

How is your Friday night going? Are you doing anything exciting, or just vegetating on the sofa watching manly documentaries? Let me know!

Funk.

Eeep, hullo, lovelies! I'm sorry it's been a while- I've been in a bit of a funk as of late, and fell rather behind on college work... something I'm still recovering from. Anyway, as a break, my family and I were to go to a pub quiz tonight, but at the last minute we didn't end up going as my stepdad wasn't feeling very well... so since I was all dressed and ready, I figured I might as well take a few photographs of my outfit for the blog. So here you are!

Velvet's super on-trend this fall/winter, and it's a fabric/style that I really do adore- so what better way of bringing in what felt like the coldest day of the year with some true winter apparel? Both the tunic and jacket I'm wearing below are velvet, or velvet inspired, and with the plainness of the leggings, I feel like I can pull off velvet-on-velvet without being too over the top. (How many more times am I going to say the word "velvet"?)

Anyway, here's onto the outfit, darlings.

Panelled trouser-leggings = Primark

Velvet/polyester jacket = vintage (charity fair)
Velvet tunic (tucked in as a top) = Next

Necklace = eBay

On my lips = Collection 2000's "Ruby Red"

I'm off to bed now, as I've college again in the morning. I really cannot be bothered, but ho-hum. I've got to do it, I guess.

Take care, bbies!
