I can go places nobody else goes.

Hi cuties! It was really hot when I took these photographs (maybe a week and a half ago?) and so I wore just a crop top with a little skirt, and my new shoes from eBay. It's funny because it was boiling that day and I couldn't even stand to go outside to take pictures, but tonight, when I'm writing this, the temperature's down to about 6°- freak weather!
Anyway, hope you enjoy these- and the GIF too. I've had an awful lot of spare time recently.

glow in the dark arrow in the heart

Polka dot crop top = DIY
High-waisted yellow slouchy trousers = thrifted
Choker = gifted (but from Dorothy Perkins! + DIY'd)
On my lips = Rimmel London's "Exaggerate" lipliner in #064 "Obsession" + Revlon's  #015 "Grape"
Heels = thrifted

Just a quick one today, darlings. I made this crop top from an old dress that I didn't really wear any more (and another, but maybe that'll feature here some other time!) so all in all, I'd reckon it's a pretty good deal. I just went for it and hacked off the bottom haphazardly since I wasn't exactly going to wear the dress as it was anyway. I think it worked out okay! And way better than paying some £30 odd quid for Topshop/AA crop tops, right? That's what I thought. Until next time, babies.

I've been trying not to notice.

Gkjhdfglskjga! It's been far, far too long for me to come back and say "oh, oops, sorry!" and well, for that, I'm sorry. Really. I have exams coming up soon (like, really soon) and things have been a bit crazy recently. I've been taking photographs as and when I've been able to/have had enough energy to, but been either too lazy or too unmotivated or too busy to actually make posts with them. So instead, I figured I'd post a couple of my outfits (and some photographs I took for fun, of course!) that I've been wearing over the past month that just didn't make it onto this blog.

Everything thrifted

Black lace shirt = vintage
Black bodycon skirt = Internacionale
Watch = Nike

Left:
Jumper, shorts = thrifted
Watch = Chopard
Rings = India, stepdad's

Right:
Sons of Anarchy t-shirt = stepdad's
Black disco pant dupes = India

Blouse = TK Maxx
Skirt = vintage + DIY
Necklace = Accessorize
Watch = Tissoni
Ring = H&M

Coat = thrifted
Jumper = Primark (I think!)
Dress (worn as tunic, just about visible) = H&M
Black disco pant dupes = India

Bomber jacket = vintage
Top = TK Maxx
Black jumpsuit = New Look
Nude strappy heels = India
Backpack = eBay (originally Dorothy Perkins)
Turband = ASOS

Oversized shirt = vintage

Black bodycon skirt = H&M
Chelsea boots = eBay

Phew! There you are, then, beauties. All done. Lots of outfits, but still not nearly enough considering how long it's been since I've updated this ruddy thing.

I have a proper outfit post coming up in the next couple of days, although I can't promise to be very regular right now what with all the revision stress currently ongoing.

See you soon, cuties!

Sun sun sun.

Hey babies. Just a whole bunch of photographs for you today. I like the way these turned out, even though I'm extremely self conscious of my body. They're a-okay.
I've had this dress for nearly a year now, and this is the first time I've worn it out... I only just took the tags off this last night! It's been sunny and pretty warm here (twenty degrees today!) and so I figured I'd wear it finally to college. It has a bothersome lack of back coverage, and I'm unfortunately unable to go totally backless, so I figured a simple black bandeau top (Primark!) would do the trick. I think it was alright, really.

Anyway, sorry about the annoying formatting between portrait and landscape photographs... I'm still working on figuring out little details like that. On to the photos!

Lace shirt = vintage || maxi dress = Eyelight boutique || wedge slippers = Nike || backpack = eBay (originally Dorothy Perkins) || watch = Tissot || rings = vintage, eBay, H&MDorothy Perkins, various assortment || mixed metals necklace = New Look || insect necklace = gifted || long wrapped green necklace = gifted (originally Dorothy Perkins) || Ethiopian opal necklace = 18th birthday present from my parents || on my lips = Revlon's "Wine Not" || on my nails = Collection 2000's "Fire Engine" + Beauty UK's matte top coat

Hot like Mexico.

Aloha, cuties. It's been the warmest day of the year so far, with the temperature hitting a high of about seventeen or eighteen degrees this afternoon on the south coast. So, in true British fashion, I did what everyone else in the country does on a hot day- go all summery and wear bright colours and minimal clothing. Only I'm not too comfortable with entirely minimal clothing, so here's my take on dressing for the summer.

Shirt, crop top = thrifted
Shorts = DIY thrifted
Backpack = eBay (originally Dorothy Perkins)
Tights = Primark
Chelsea Boots = eBay
Statement silver collar necklace = Primark
Other necklaces = Topman, from my parents on my 18th
Now I'm just sitting in my conservatory and attempting to de-stress. All your lovely posts are helping with that.

See you soon, babies!

Double denim.

Aloha. I was feeling decidedly retro today and felt like a nineties throwback was in order. So I got out my fleece-lined denim jacket and paired it with my usual DIY vintage denim shorts.

Shirt, shorts = vintage
Denim jacket = thrifted (originally River Island)
Tights = Primark (and they're ripped already ;( )
Cropped bralette = Primark
Chelsea boots = eBay
Wooden cross necklace = eBay
Wrapped green stone necklace = Dorothy Perkins
Long vine earring = Primark (SUCH a bargain, ugh- it was £4!)
On my lips = Collection 2000's "Ruby Red"

Just a quick post tonight, cuties. I've had ridiculous deadlines today and it was no fun, but at least it's one less subject to worry about! A media deadline this Thursday, and then I'm pretty much sorted with most of my coursework. I can't wait; I can't believe college is nearly done. Just a couple more months to go, and I'm a free woman. Sort of. Of course, I'll have to find myself a job, finally. Bleugh. But I'm looking forward to the financial independence (re: buying stupid amounts of clothes).

Anyway, hope you've had a not-too-gloomy Monday, babies. See you in my next post!

Waiting.

Hey beauties.

I'm still awaiting that remote control, but in the mean time, I played a (not so fun) game of tag with my camera and settled for self-timer to get these shots. That's also why they're pretty rubbish in comparison to some of my older photos. Also, I've been eating horribly over the last few months, and doing no exercise because it's so ridiculously cold, so I've put on silly amounts of weight, and it shows- especially in these photographs. I'm really hoping to start getting a bit more exercise in once the weather begins to get warmer so that I can go back to my original, relatively healthy weight.

Glittery shirt, coat, backpack, belt = vintage
Skater dress = New Look
Chelsea boots = eBay
Watch = Chopard
This was just what I wore the other day to college; I've had the glittery shirt for a while, but never worn it out as it's super short and pretty clingy- something a full-chested girl should really stay away from! But after putting on this plain navy skater dress I bought just the day before, I needed something to glam it up a bit with... and the sparkly top seemed like just the thing! I wore it tucked into my favourite belt to make the whole thing a bit more high-waisted- although in hindsight, I probably should've worn it tucked out, really. My short torso doesn't deal well with high-waisted anything.

Anyway, hopefully I'll have my remote control thingy soon so that I can be snap happy much more efficiently. Until then, wrap up and stay safe, cuties.

Snippets, and some news.

Hi, cuties. I have a couple of little snippets of outfit posts (and a much required puppy-pic) that didn't quite make it on here because they're all out of focus and just generally not-so-great quality.... but I'm waiting to receive a remote control in the post for my camera, until which time proper outfit photos look a little bit undo-able. Sorry!

Burgundy velvet top, black velvet skirt = vintage
Necklaces = Topman, 18th birthday present, vintage
Watch = Nike
Belt = vintage

Dress = vintage
Spike cuff = New Look

Also, I have news! I'm starting up a Youtube channel. More on this soon, so watch this space!

A little in the groove.

Hi babies- this is kind of a funny post, and not in the ha-ha way. My sleep pattern is all kinds of wrecked, and I'm not completely myself at the moment; I have only myself to blame for this, though. Sigh.

I went into town today and saw Equi (ain't she just the prettiest? She manages to look attractive even when pulling a silly face... and then there's dopey ol' me!) for a girly day out- or, well, our version of one anyway. We sat in Starbucks for two hours and didn't even notice how much time had passed while we caught up after a super duper long time. Trawled into shop after shop after shop all afternoon and evening long, until I was absolutely and utterly beat. Going shopping with this girl is the equivalent to a good, long workout. Anyway, on to the good stuff- photos!

When I got home, I decided it was about time I started to experiment with the Canon EOS 600D that my parents gave me for my eighteenth a couple of weeks ago. The image quality on this baby is sdkfsdfbeautiful. As much as I adore and am used to my old Sony hybrid, this one's a real step up, and it shows- I'm so grateful.
I was feeling inspired (as I so often do after a massive bout of retail therapy) and got a little snap-happy. Not too shabby for such an impromptu set-up, huh?

This beige flapper-style dress is just the loveliest thing ever. It's a plain cotton/jersey blend (I think!) floaty dress, but attached all over with strings upon strings reminiscent of those you find disguised as tassles on the ends of curtain ties. Am I making any sense? Oh, this is hard to explain. You get the idea though, right!? It's just a really unique little garment that I haven't seen the likes of before (or not in the past two decades anyway!)- and along with the slightly shimmery beige/gold colour this baby's just plain dreamy.

Silver Indian anklets joined to form a neckthing = India, obviously (These were made for me when I was just a little'un, from what I can recall.)
Infinity symbol necklace = vintage
Stone necklace = Ethiopian opal pendant that my parents gave me for my eighteenth (I barely take this beauty off any more- ugh, I love it so much.)
(Invisible) Spike and triangle long necklaces = Topman
On my lips (throughout this post) = Revlon's "Wine Not" (I think I've found my favourite lipstick, you guys. This is it- true love.)
Black jumper = vintage
Denim cutoffs = DIY from vintage jeans
Red string cross bracelet = eBay
(Ignore gross thighs, please.)
Suedette flatforms! My new babies. (H&M - £24.99)
Slightly pricey for what they are, but I've been lusting after a pair ever since I saw them on Lily's blog, and I was paying for everything via a gift card from my birthday, so I thought this was my chance to finally nab a pair when Equi happened to spot them. (Thank you, cutie.)
You can't really see it here, and I had a super hard time photographing it in artificial light, but I'm wearing a velvet ruched skirt I bought today from H&M too. I accidentally picked up a size too small, and thought I'd definitely have to return it since it's not even the tiniest bit stretchy, but it just about fits me, and come summer, by which time I'm hoping to be down to this size like I used to be, it won't be a problem. I do hope this isn't just optimistic, wishful thinking.

The heels I'm wearing with the beige dress are my brogue-front vintage ones that are years old now, and still sturdy as ever. Quite possibly the best £3 I've spent on anything, ever.
The black dress on the right looked wonderful on the hanger at H&M, but I brought it home and tried it on, and it just looked awful on me. Yes, that's why the absurd cropping of this photograph: it's just way too ick to show you. The fabric that should flow down in front of my tummy just poofs out in the most unflattering manner, and I am seriously considering either returning it, or doing some serious DIY. I'm not sure what H&M's return policy is on sale items, though. Euch, I've had better luck shopping online than I've had with H&M today! That says a lot, considering H&M is probably my favourite high street store.

Right! That's the end of that ridiculously long post. I haven't slept in about thirty-six hours now (if I've done the maths right... which, let's face it, I most likely haven't) and my body is exhausted from all the walking around we did today, so I'm off to get some much needed shut-eye.

I hope you had a great Friday night, and that your weekend's even better.
Until next time, cuties.
